Old Point Loma Lighthouse

San Diego, California
First lit: November 15, 1855

The Point Loma Lighthouse was built in 1855, & though it still stands today, it didn’t have a long term as an active light! 36 years after it was first lit, the light was turned off because it was built too high for the fog.
