Anne Eaton-Kemp became a retail and interpretive docent at Point Cabrillo in 2001. She serves as a retail docent in the Lighthouse, leads the team responsible for keeping the Lighthouse and First Assistant Lightkeeper’s Home clean, coordinates the refreshment team for Whale Festival and meets and interviews couples interested in having their wedding at Point Cabrillo Light Station. She serves as party queen when needed. Anne chaired the PCLK Exhibit Committee for the 2009 Centennial Celebration. 

Anne was born and raised in Alameda, California. She received her BA in Psychology from  Holy Names College in Oakland, CA and her MSW from San Diego State University. Before retiring to Mendocino to build a house and travel to Europe, she worked in Napa and Santa Clara Counties in Adult and Child Welfare services where she established and maintained an emergency care program for young children removed from their homes in Santa Clara County. Anne also counseled middle school children and parents and did child abuse training for teachers.

In addition to her PCLK volunteer activities, Anne volunteers with the Mendocino Theatre Company, The Fort Bragg Operations Group of The Marine Mammal Center and with the Coast Guard Auxiliary where she helps with lens tours and lens maintenance.
